What exactly is tutoring?
The dictionary defines a tutor as a person who gives individual, or is some cases a small group, instruction. At LaunchYOU we strive to go deeper. Our purpose is to help learners fill any gaps, gain new skills, and to assist or guide them to the point at which they become independent learners, and thus no longer need a tutor. Tutoring offers structured learning experience in a more individualized way. Our aim is to change attitudes toward subject matter, increase academic performance as well as personal growth. In addition to that, tutoring is a self–paced and self–directed learning process.
What about homework?
We offer personalized tutoring, not just homework assistance (though we will certainly help with homework). Our goal is not to solve every problem for your learner but to ensure that they are well-versed and fully understand the material that we are tutoring for. Our goal is to create curious, life-long learners that are critical thinkers. We take joy in presenting material in new ways and challenging students to learn material to take with them.
