Amanda Murphy
Educational Consultant
Meet Amanda! She is an educator with 8 years of professional experience in multiple teaching roles and grade levels. She is passionate about the importance of education and developmentally appropriate curriculum to bridge learning gaps in her students. She is also the published author of children’s picture book, “Feel Like Fred”, which teaches social-emotional awareness for elementary children and families
Jamia Santiago
Launch You Tutor
Meet Jamia! You can also call her Ms. Jamie. She is fun, loving, and full of energy! Jamie started her career in the medical field, but her path shifted after she noticed the positive impact she had on children. Over the past 15 years, Jamie delved into the social service field, mentoring neighborhood kids. She is a mom of five daughters, including her adopted niece. For the past 9 years, Jamie has held a position as the Program Director of the non-profit organization, Rising Leaders Global, where her dedication and focus has been based on positive youth development. She has also managed cases for youth/young adult homelessness and managed a teen residential group home. Jamie also has four years’ experience running a Life Skills Program for the Juvenile Justice Commission. Jamie is a certified training facilitator for CPR, Nurtured Heart, trauma informed care, PREA, and Connections Matter. While Jamie holds three Associate Degrees in Art/Science/Applied Science, she is working to obtain her Bachelor’s Degree.
Stephanie Battermann

Meet Stephanie! She brings years of diverse teaching experience and a strong commitment to personalized education, ensuring every student receives the tailored support they need to thrive. After transitioning from a career in engineering, she dedicated herself to homeschooling her children, which led to her passion for teaching. Stephanie later expanded her expertise by teaching high school sciences in various classroom settings and spent three years teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL). With a broad tutoring background covering subjects from elementary reading and math to high school science, math, and SAT test preparation, she is well-equipped to support students across various academic subjects and levels. Stephanie has been a valued member of the Launch You team for the past two years.
Madelin Torres
Launch You Tutor
Meet Madelin! She has been in the Behavioral Health/Mental Health field for past 24 years. She has enjoys working with adults and youth and has a genuine passion for helping others. She was a Training Coordinator for Legacy Treatment Services, where she assisted Staff in trauma-informed care to learn how to work with children/youth in crisis. This included verbal de-escalation as well as crisis interventions, but more importantly, how to demonstrate compassion and empathy when working with the youth. When she is not spending time with her daughter, she enjoys reading, salsa dancing, and watching documentaries. She truly enjoys meeting new people as it helps her continue to develop her passion for helping others.
Bertram Newton
Launch You Music Instructor
Meet Bertram! He has a passion for music and helps students develop their musical talents. He teaches various aspects of music, including theory, technique, performance, and creativity. He fosters a positive learning environment, encouraging students to explore their musical potential while providing constructive feedback. He is patient, supportive, and adaptable to the needs of our students, helping them build confidence and a love for music. .
Krystopher Locker
S.T.E.A.M Educator
Meet Krystopher! He is thrilled to be a S.T.E.A.M. Educator. In addition to teaching S.T.E.A.M, he also serves as a Mental Health Professional for the YMCA, supporting the emotional well-being of campers and staff. He’s studied a range of different aspects of life from Animal Science, Horticulture, Psychology and various cultures and religions! Outside of the classroom, he enjoys collecting Pokémon trading cards and being outside in nature.
Bianca Nocella
S.T.E.A.M Educator
Meet Bianca! She is a good worker who consistently demonstrates dedication, reliability, and a strong work ethic. She approaches tasks with a positive attitude. She is adaptable to changes and is willing to learn new skills to improve her performance. She also communicates effectively with her colleagues and supervisors and contributes to a positive team environment. Her commitment and professionalism make her an asset to Launch You.
